To make it simple, save the lbv60.exe installation file to your desktop

 

Prior to Installing LadyBug you must have all the latest Microsoft Widows updates.

If you are using any Microsoft Office products, you must have all the latest updates for

your Microsoft Office suite.

 

** IMPORTANT** Always Backup Your Data File to a Safe

     Location.  Your LadyBug Data file can be copied to any 

     type of media. The file name and location (in most cases)

     is C:/Program Files/Ladybug/Lbugdata.mdb

 

    ► if you wish to use your old data. You will need to have

    your data file converted. If you use a new data file you will

    will require a new access code. In either case, please contact

    LadyBug Products prior to installation of version 6. Data files

    prior to Version 6.0 will not work.

 

> Vista and Windows 7: 

Before installing Ladybug on your System you must turn the

User Account Control OFF.

>Vista

Open Control Panel.
Click on one of the User Accounts.
Under User Account click on "Manage another Account".
Click on "Go to the main User Account page".
Click on "Turn User Account Control OFF"
Click to Unselect the "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer".
Click on the Ok button. You will be prompted to reboot your computer. Please do so.

>Windows 7

Open Control Panel.

Click on o User Accounts.

Click on Change User Account Control Settings

Select Never Notify.

Please reboot your computer

* You may turn the User Account setting back to it's original

    position after LadyBug is installed

 

> Install LadyBug using the typical installation option

> Open LadyBug, agree to license agreement and follow prompts.

Please Note: If your are having the data file converted from version 5 to

version 6, just enter in the required information. Your converted data file

will replace all required fields.

Rename the folder c:\program files\Ladybug to c:\program files\Ladybug_old

 

Delete any LadyBug shortcuts and the LadyBug program group folder,

(that's the folder with the backup and compact & repair icons).

This is the safe way to do it... just incase we need to go back.

 

After the new installation is complete and successful we can go back

and delete the Ladybug_old Folder and Files.
